Kong: I had an inkling (laughs). The fans in the iMPACT Zone and at live shows, you know, they gave us the vibe and the energy that we used in the ring, so it was as much the fans being apart of that feud and feeding us that energy. There was definatly a chemistry their between Gail and I, that with her departure the division never really recaptured.

Diva Dirt: What are some of your highlights from the feud?

Kong: Actually right before the last match we had, her on-screen sister, their was an instance where I snatched her up and it looked like it was really gonna get heated even moreso. The heat was gonna get turned up by me putting my hands on her little sister. And I was really looking forward to pursuing that but that was the last match we had and she was gone after that so that dicapated.

Diva Dirt: Do you know where that storyline was gonna go? Was that going to turn into a full-fledged storyline between you guys?

Kong: As far as I know yes. And I was very much looking forward to it and was really surprised when it didn’t happen and heard she was leaving.

Webmistress Note: I’ve always felt that the Kong/Gail fued with Katie Kim as Gail’s kayfabe sister would lead to another amazing storyline, with Gail eventually picking up the Knockouts Title for the second time, its a shame we never got to see it, but at least she still have fantastic memories of their epic fued that i & many other Gail fans will treasure forever.

Singing her tune
Gail Kim takes on fellow Raw Diva Jillian on Thursday night’s most exciting show. Will Gail quiet Raw’s sassy but tone-deaf songstress when they meet in the ring?

Fan: What do you think of former WWE women’s champion, Gail Kim?
Cherry: I’m a fan of hers and enjoy watching her. She’s very innovative and that’s what a wrestling fan wants to see.

Two weeks ago Melina had responded to me on the WWE universe site and linked me to her blog on WWE.COM. As I was reading it, I noticed on the side under the WWE appearances that Gail Kim & Santino would be at FCW Friday April 23rd. Immediately I knew I had to go since I’ve been a huge fan of Gail since her debut and would probably never get the chance to meet her again as they rarely come down to Florida, and when they do, it’s a WWE signing which is normally got security all around.

I asked and got the OK to go, and then bought the special Golden Circle seating so I could get in an hour and a half early to meet Gail and Santino, and get good pics of the show.

Fast forward to the night. A 2 hour drive there, but of course, I’d do it all for Gail Right when I got off school I basically had 30 minutes to get a few things like phone, ipod, etc. and then I was on my way. Got there at 5:30 and walked around the town for a bit, and as I stopped in a restaurant to use the bathroom, I was exiting and out of the corner of my eye, some big guy with that Wrestler build and look walked into the restaurant, but I didn’t know who it was so I didn’t ask for a pic =[

At 6:30 I went to the doors of the show, which had about maybe 20 people standing there, and then we got inside and waited in line. The door just cracked open a tad, and I saw Gail standing there. Immediately, I'm about to start having an embarrassing mark out fit from my love for her, but I tried to remain calm...until I actually saw how much better she looked in person than ever on TV, Videos, or Pics. The door then shut and I'm thinking how just one door separates me from Gail and how I wanted to kick it down and run inside.

They let us go in at about 6:40 if you have the Gold Circle, which was only like 15 people at first until more arrived later. And then, the billed signing of Gail and Santino turned into Divas Heaven, as Savannah, Jamie Keyes, Aksana, and AJ Lee all sat with them. So the excitement I had before just turned into oh shit what am I gonna do now, I cant embarrass myself in front of now 5 of them.

And then...I moved on to the big one. The main reason I drove 2 hours now sitting in front of me. I pull up in front of Gail and she was just ending conversation with the person in front of me and talking about her Baywatch run from Raw, as Savannah turns and goes "ooh I loved that run Gail!" Then I pull up and try to shove the thought in my head of not to embarrass myself. I asked for a picture and she couldn't have been nicer. But I saw a fear of mine coming soon. Most don't know this, but I REALLY hate pics where you pose over the table. I saw her about to do that and of course, I embarrassed myself and ran around it >_> I worked 7 years to meet her. I wasn't gonna let it happen this way! So she's like "Ooh I was gonna stand over here" and laughed, as I'm like "Whoops my bad" secretly thinking "YES! I avoided that situation!" Then We posed together for the pic as I tried not to do anything that I would regret (Thankfully I did not!) And then I was like "Thank you beyond belief." as I ran back around and gathered my stuff.

So I went back and asked if it was ok since I forgot him, and he said sure. I go back behind him and then out of nowhere, Gail turns around and looks right at me from about an inch apart. (Now I'm really about to shit my pants at that one) And then, to show off her epic-ness, she joins the pic too! So I ended up getting two pics with her because the first had me so amazed that I forgot to get one from the person next to her. I call that fate!

Gail Kim: The most underutilized Diva in the company. She got the potential to be the worker that Trish Stratus was in the ring. She did such a great job in TNA against Awesome Kong & I just sit there in amazement that she is not focused heavily enough in WWE.

I’m a big fan of Nattie Neidahart. The girl had wrestled in Japan , Germany , Shimmer, & Stampede. The girl can work. I’m hoping that she will get the opportunity to work a program with Beth Phoenix or Gail Kim down the line. I think she’s doing a decent job in her managerial role for the time being.

Gail. I have the Utmost respect for everything she has gone through and accomplished. She is a remarkably talented woman and person. It would be an honor to have a singles match with her. I truly hope that I get the opportunity.

These kind words from one of GailKimSource’s staffs favourite divas are just lovely don’t you think? Doesn’t make up for lack of Gail (well..any divas!) on Raw last night but its so nice to see Gails talent recognized & appreciated by someone as respected & talented as Melina. Hopefully WWE take such comments into account and give Gail something to chew on rather then use her in the disgraceful why they are these days.
