6 Diva Tag Match
Mickie James/Kelly Kelly/Gail Kim def. Beth Phoenix/Alicia Fox/Rosa Mendez. I honestly don’t remember who pinned who here. I think it was Mickie James pinning Alicia Fox.

3. Mickie James, Gail Kim, and Kelly Kelly defeated Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, and Alicia Fox. Based off how the live crowds have been responding on Monday nights, I was curious as to how the women’s match would go tonight. Both teams got great responses from the crowd, and the match itself was very entertaining. Alicia and Mickie started the match off, Mickie pretty much dominated the offense, but Alicia looked very good in-ring, very much improved since joining the Raw roster.

Even Kelly Kelly looked more natural in ring the few minutes she got in. Beth and Gail worked the majority of the match, and I think there was only one blown move when Gail reversed a torture rack and it appeared she lost a handle on Beth on the way down, but Beth covered it up and just flipped over, like the momentum was enough to take her down. In the end Mickie hit Rosa Mendes with a heel kick to score the win.

Mickie James/Kelly Kelly/Gail Kim def. Beth Phoenix/Alicia Fox/Rosa Mendez

Match was ok for what it was. What stuck out to me was 2 things. Alicia Fox is getting much better in the ring…she may have that “it” factor. Rosa Mendez doesn’t. She looked WAY out of place and very green. She almost killed herself taking a flying head scissor from Mickie James and took a Thez press all wrong. I forget who pinned who…I think Mickie pinned Rosa but not 100%

- I arrived in LA at 5 pm on Saturday and headed to the downtown Sheraton Hotel which served as HQ for the weekend. After a challenging week multi tasking, I was beat when I arrived at the hotel and actually was in bed asleep Saturday night at 8:30 pm Pacific time. Of course, I had a 5 a.m. wake up call Sunday morning to be ready to roll tape at approximately 6 a.m. for the Food Network’s “Dinner Impossible” program that will air, as I understand it, in November. I will keep every one posted as to the exact date. I had a great time stepping sort of out of the wrestling world and was assigned to make multiple gallons of BBQ Sauce which I did and that everyone seemed to love. The Miz was a riot on this shoot and we were also joined later in the morning by Gail Kim who sure looks nice in a kitchen and I mean that in a positive way. Stephanie McMahon and The Big Show also joined in the non kitchen festivites so WWE was well represented. Chef Robert Irvine is a hoot to work with and is a former cook with the British Royal Navy.

Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, and Mickie James are walking in the back for their match and we go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, and Alicia Fox versus Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, and Gail Kim in a Mayweather Melee

Beth and Gail start things off and Gail with a kick and an arm bar as Kelly is tagged in. Gail with a cross body and then Kelly with a rana for a near fall. Beth with an Irish whip but Kelly floats over and Kelly tries for a head scissors but Beth holds on and hits a back breaker. Beth runs Kelly into the corner and tags in Rosa. Rosa with punches and a double sledge to Kelly’s back. Kelly with punches and a forearm followed by a clothesline. Alicia and Mickie tag in and Mickie with punches that sends Alicia to the mat. Mickie with a neck breaker to Alicia but Beth breaks up the cover. Mickie with a forearm to Beth but Gail with a missile drop kick to Beth. Kelly with a drop kick to Rosa. Alicia with a Thesz Press but Alicia moves and Mickie goes to the ring post. Alicia with a scissors kick for the three count.
Winners: Beth Phoenix, Alicia Fox, and Rosa Mendes

Last night before the Summerslam Pay-Per-View 15 WWE Diva’s took part in a Battle Royal and one of them just happened to be Gail. Unfortunately for Gail, Beth Phoenix picked up the win with a little help from the special guest ref, Chavo, who helped Beth throw Eve and Kelly out of the ring.
However, this wasn’t the end of it! Not happy with the way the Battle Royal went down, Gail & Co surrounded Chavo who was quickly abandoned by Beth Phoenix and started to beat him down! The Divas were quickly joined by Hornswoggle who, with help from the girls, performed a spear and tadpole splash on Chavo, continuing their..unique fued.

Kim is a 10-year veteran. She started in the WWE, but left to perform for the smaller rival company TNA for years, where she became its top women’s wrestler. Now, she is back in the WWE and looking to reclaim the title that she held many years ago.

MSN: What made you want to return to the WWE?
Kim: It’s the No. 1 company in the world and I had worked for them previously. So I felt like I had a little something to prove when I came back, that I’m a different wrestler now and that I’ve grown so much. Also, I wanted to work with people I had wrestled with in the past, like Mickie James, Beth Phoenix and Melina.

MSN: Is it a different vibe between WWE and TNA?
Kim: Definitely. TNA is smaller. WWE is a bigger production and you get many more fans. It’s so exciting to perform in front of so many people. It is what we thrive off of.

MSN: You recently got your first title shot since coming back. Do you feel that it took too long to happen or do you understand that you need to re-prove yourself?
Kim: Being in this business, I learned one lesson: Patience is something you need to acquire. Everyone wants it now, but when it happens, you realize it is worth the wait. Also, I think the WWE fans now are more different. There are more families and it was a different generation. A lot of people didn’t know who I was from my previous stint in the WWE. So, a lot of people had to get to know me again. I like it because I have a fresh new slate.
